From Mumbai to Milan to Dubai: A Journey of Cultures, Creativity & Fashion

If someone had told me years ago that my love for art and fabrics would take me from the bustling streets of Mumbai to the fashion schools of Milan and eventually to the heart of Dubai, I would have smiled at the thought—but never truly believed it.

Yet, here I am, looking back at a journey that has been anything but ordinary.

Fashion, for me, has never been just about clothes. It has always been about expression, emotion, and identity—a way to tell stories without saying a word. And every place I’ve called home has shaped the way I design today.

Mumbai: Where My Love for Fabrics Began

Growing up in Mumbai, I was surrounded by color, texture, and tradition. It’s a city of contrasts—where the old and the new blend effortlessly, where history meets modernity in the most unexpected ways.

I was drawn to fabrics early on—watching artisans weave intricate embroideries, seeing a simple piece of cloth transformed into something magical. Indian craftsmanship is storytelling at its finest, and it taught me that clothes should have depth, meaning, and soul.

I didn’t know it then, but these moments were shaping the designer I would become.

Milan: Where Fashion Became My Language

Moving to Milan was a shift—suddenly, I was in a place where fashion wasn’t just an industry; it was a way of life.

Here, I learned about precision, structure, and the art of minimalism. I saw firsthand how a perfectly tailored silhouette could change the way someone carries themselves, how a single drape could tell a story. Milan gave me an eye for detail, a deep appreciation for balance—between tradition and modernity, creativity and technique.

But most importantly, I learned that great fashion isn’t just about how it looks—it’s about how it makes you feel.

Milan refined me as a designer. But the real test was still ahead.

Dubai: Where My Dream Took Shape

Then came Dubai, a city that felt like a perfect mix of everywhere I had been. It had the heritage and craftsmanship of the East, the modernity and innovation of the West, and an energy that made me believe anything was possible.

This was where I truly found my voice as a designer.

I didn’t want to create just another fashion label—I wanted to build something that felt personal, artistic, and deeply connected to emotions. A brand where every piece had a story, where prints were more than patterns, and where luxury wasn’t just about exclusivity, but about meaning.

Dubai gave me the confidence to make that vision real. It showed me that fashion doesn’t have to fit into a mold—it can be playful yet elegant, artistic yet wearable, bold yet timeless. And that’s exactly what I wanted L’Mane to be

A Journey That’s Still Unfolding…

Looking back, I see L’Mane as a reflection of all these influences—
 The richness of Indian craftsmanship
 The sophistication of Italian design
The modern, global spirit of Dubai

But more than that, it carries my story—the lessons I’ve learned, the emotions I’ve felt, and the dreams I continue to chase.

Because fashion isn’t just about what we wear. It’s about who we are, where we come from, and where we’re headed.

And for me, this journey is far from over.

 Here’s to the next chapter.
